Amanda Smock, BS '05, is the 2013 recipient of the NDSU Horizon Award, presented at the Alumni Awards Celebration April 18. The award celebrates alumni who have distinguished themselves in their professional field or in service to their community. Smock earned her master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Minnesota. She represented the United States in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, competing in the Triple Jump. She is a two time USA Indoor Champion (2012 and 2013) and two time USA Outdoor Champion (2011 and 2012) in the Triple Jump.
